Ultra-high twist heavy twill (Enshu region)
This ultra-tightly twisted textile has a striking twill weave that is easily visible to the naked eye.
This large, floating twill is created not only through the weave, but also through the use of tightly twisted yarn and a shuttle loom.
When weaving fabrics, strong tension (pulling) is applied to the threads, but if the threads cannot withstand this tension, the twill becomes crushed.
However, the tightly twisted yarn makes it less likely to be crushed, and the shuttle loom allows for loose weaving tension, making it possible to weave fabric with a three-dimensional feel.
The roughness of the tight twist and the three-dimensional twill weave give this fabric a very masculine look.
