The synthetic-touch cupra fabric on the outer surface develops a more pronounced look when washed, and unlike nylon or polyester outdoor materials, it has a unique feel that is typical of Yamauchi.
The padding lining the placket and the back of the collar is slightly thinner than the padding in the body and sleeves, which allows the collar to roll up beautifully and the design, which has been carefully thought out, gives the finished product a unique look.
2-ply cupra x cotton (Fujiyoshida region)
Since it is difficult for the looms in Fujiyoshida to use any material other than cupra for the warp thread, various variations have been created by changing the weft thread.
This textile was created in pursuit of a different change, with the warp threads made of double-ply cupra yarn.
This fabric has a firm feel rather than the loose feel of cupra, making it different from previous cupra fabrics.
Furthermore, the unique appearance of cupra, reminiscent of synthetic fibers, adds a unique touch to the Yamauchi collection, which is centered around natural fibers.
*Cupra is a recycled fiber made primarily from cotton.
Product washing process (in-house)
When the brand was launched, one of the concepts was to not carry out any post-processing, but for the past two years we have been proposing several items that have been washed.
Washing the item in water or, in some cases, tumble drying it will give it a wrinkled, worn-in look.
The general image of post-processing is often that of seasoning, which can also be seen as concealing rough edges.
The products we process are made with more care than other items, and we take great care in the tailoring process to ensure that the product retains its dignified appearance even after processing.
We only post-process items that become more attractive and increase in value when washed.
