This special item is made from salt-shrunk linen knit T-shirt and features Aichi Prefecture's traditional craft, Arimatsu Shibori.
The size is more relaxed than a regular salt-shrunk linen knit T-shirt.
High-quality 100% linen jersey is shrunk to approximately 40% of its length by using an ultra-high concentration salt shrinking process.
Completely different from the original sheer jersey, it has been transformed into a unique textile with a unique surface and feel.
This T-shirt is made from a tightly woven, masculine knit that will catch your eye even when worn on its own.
Salt shrinkage processing (Yamanashi Prefecture)
This is a processing method that uses caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) to give the fabric a unique wrinkled and uneven texture.
Because this is a very labor-intensive process, it is not suitable for mass production and is done entirely by hand.
Additionally, because the chemicals used are dangerous, factories that can process them at high concentrations are extremely rare.
