The color is closer to gunmetal than black, and the surface is glossy. The coloring method is oxidation rather than painting or dyeing, so the texture of the stainless steel is not lost and you can enjoy the metallic look. There are some scuff marks, but this is due to the texture of the material and does not affect the quality.
